Zero Books publishes three books annually. The public may participate in all three projects. For project guidelines, click on the link to the specific project below.

In addition to poetry and essays, Zero Books publishes art (drawings, computer art and prints of paintings) in two of its annual publications.

The publications rotate between six titles; the two submission dates are announced below.

The cover art project comes with a $100 dollar award.

The chapbook project comes with a $250 dollar award ($125.00 cash prize, publication by Zero Books, and 10 free copies).

The Chapbook Project

Project Guidelines

1. SUBMISSIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY SEPTEMBER 15TH, 2005


2. Please submit a minimum of five poems for evaluation.


3. A cover letter with address and contact information is required.


4. We prefer, but do not require submitted poems, to be themeatically linked.


5. Please send a SASE with adequate postage to return your poems (if you want them back).


6. E-mail submissions MUST be sent as a PDF file and meet all submission requirements (cover letter, five poems).


7. E-mail submissions must be received by our mail server by 12:00 AM EST September 15, 2005.


8. E-mail must be sent to chapbook@zerobooks.net.

2. Previously published works accepted (minimum 6 months since last publication).


3. ORIGINAL works only.

5. Up to three poems may be submitted simultaneously (No fee for the first three; $5 reading fee for each additional poem).


6. Please send a SASE if you want your poems returned to you.


7. E-mail submissions MUST be sent as a PDF file and meet all basic submission requirements.


8. Please limit your e-mail submission to three poems, two illusrations or prints.


9. E-mail submissions must be received by our mail server by 12:00 AM EST June 31st, 2005.
