Zero Books from it's establishment in 1993 is governed by the following principles

• To promote poets & artists that wouldn't normally get the exposure to sustain a career in the creative arts
• To never allow our art to be comprised by popular opinion
• To represent all corners of thoughts throughout the United States and the world
• To sponsor public education programs that expose young people to the creative arts
• To ensure that modern forms of communication are utilized in the expression of the creative arts
• To ensure that time tested forms of the creative arts are supported

Our Beliefs

• We believe that creative people are not driven by monetary concerns but rather by the insatiable desire to create art
• We believe that in our society people need financial & emotional compensation to sustain a career in the creative arts
• We believe that public exhibitions (readings & poetry slams) need to be supported both by participation and financial sponsorship
• We believe that it is a necessity that young people be exposed to the creative arts
